Which Naked Palette is Best?

Who doesn’t love that subtle yet sexy look that Urban Decay Naked Palettes can give you.  But how do you know which Naked palette is best?  It is so hard to choose from the different palettes, because they are all remarkable. If you can’t tell by now, I am absolutely in love with the Naked Palette series and I only think it is fair that I share this deep love with you. The original Naked Palette was amazing enough, with its gorgeous hues and long-lasting color. Then Urban Decay shocked us all and came out with the Naked 2 Palette, giving us even more gorgeous colors. Yet, they couldn’t leave it at just two palettes and nobody knows how to capitalize on a good thing more than Urban Decay, they came out with a Naked 3 Palette, too.

I often get the question; what makes the Urban Decay Naked Palettes so amazing? I always give the same answer, the variety of colors offered, the fact that these shades last so long and the fact that they make your eyes just pop. I dare you to go out after applying these stunning eyeshades and not be noticed. So without further ado, let’s explore all three palettes.

  1. First, of course, is the original Urban Decay Naked Palette. This is a great starter palette. With this palette, you get 12 amazing shades that are bronze hued and you can choose from satin, matte, sparkle or a shimmer finish. You can also mix the colors to get different results. The great thing about the Urban Decay brand is that it is 100% cruelty free. All twelve shades come in a beautiful case that contains a large mirror so you have a good view of yourself applying the varying eye shadows. You can choose to apply any or several of these shades contained in the palette: Sin (a pale nude shimmer), Virgin (a cool pale beige satin), Dark horse (a deep mocha shimmer), Toasted (an antique copper penny shimmer), Hustle (a plum-brown satin), Creep (an onyx shimmer with gold sparkle), Gunmetal (a dark metallic gray shimmer with silver micro-glitter), Naked (a nude matte), Sidecar (a beige shimmer with silver micro-glitter), Buck (a fawn brown matte), Half Baked (a golden bronze shimmer) and Smog (a deep coppery bronze shimmer).
  2. The second palette Urban Decay released in the series is Naked 2. Prepare to be amazed, as this palette is unveiled in all its taupe-hued glory. These lovely eye shades go on silkily and give draw out the color of your eyes. You can go from casual daytime look to professional workday look to sultry and sexy evening look in not time. These 12 shades will allow you to pick and choose the look that best suits you at any time of day: Chopper (a copper shimmer with silver micro-glitter), Tease (a beautiful creamy pale brown matte), Snakebite (a dark and sultry bronze shimmer), Suspect (a pale liquidy golden beige shimmer), Pistol (a light grayish brown shimmer), Verve (an oyster shimmer), YDK (a cool bronze shimmer), Busted (a deep brown shimmer), Blackout (the blackest of black mattes), Foxy (a cream bisque matte), Half Baked (a golden bronze shimmer) and the aptly called Booty call (a cork shimmer).
  3. Last but never least, there is the Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay. Whereas, the last two palettes tended to stray in the dark and sultrier category, the eye shades in Naked 3 Palette are lighter as this is a rose-hued palette. The colors glide on as smoothly and are as long-lasting as in the previous two palettes, but these shades are flirty and fun. After all, who can resist a good flirt while wearing eye shades like: Buzz (a gorgeous metallic rose shimmer with silver micro-glitter), Trick (a light and metallic pinky-copper shimmer with micro-sparkle), Nooner (a medium pinky-brown matte), Liar (a medium metallic mauve shimmer), Factory (a pinky-brown satiny shade), Strange (a pale neutral pink matte-satin), Dust (a pale metallic pink shimmer with iridescent micro-glitter), Burnout (a light pinky-peach satin), Limit (a light dusty rose matte), Mugshot (a metallic taupe shimmer with slight pink shift), Dark side (a deep taupe-hued mauve satin) and Dark heart (a mysterious smoky black matte with rosy red micro-sparkle).

If that isn’t enough for you, Urban Decay also has limited edition and holiday edition eyeshadow and other sets.
